Problem setting watch, May 14, 2010 By This review is from: S+arck - Crystal Clear Digi Watch (Watch) Wow. This is a beautiful watch. I bought it when I was in France. So Beauty it has.
What it DOES NOT HAVE is a decent manual specific to the watch!!!! THIS SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY WATCH THAT FOSSIL DOES NOT HAVE ON THEIR HOW-TO WATCH PAGE.
And believe me, you get two indentations in the plastic strap and it is a mystery how to set. Sometimes I can do it...other times not.
I cannot be sure whether I bought a faulty watch or I missing how the indentation holes work. How much one has to hold, which of the two buttons move things along. Is there a second time in the watch? How do you set that.
Two indentations in the wrist band is all you get - and you have to figure it out yourself.
As for what I 'think' is the day day...well, when I advance that upward it goes beyond any month date..so who knows what I am setting.
THIS WATCH NEEDS a PDF on the fossil website. I like fossil's designs but I have never owned a watch of their that didn't die, screw-up or like this... Read more
Dissapointed dissapointed, March 27, 2012 By This review is from: S+arck - Crystal Clear Digi Watch (Watch) I bought this watch for my wife, I bought her the white model, first off the battery was dead flat, being in NZ it's a bit hard to send it back again, it worked out ok because no mere mortal can adjust the strap as this needs to be cut down as it comes massive in case king kong needs to wear it.
The watch guy replaced the battery and cut the strap and fitted it,ok 68 dollars for that, thanks.
The watch has no light, what were they thinking,
The screen is plastic not quartz crystal so it gets scratched really easily.
The strap is now a kind of green colour, it is not a cross linked polyethene plastic, therefore it is not stain resistant, so it has picked up the colour of her black sweat shirt, blue jeans, general grime.
I would not of thought a stain resistant strap was that hard to make or a scratch resistant screen were a big deal.
oh, it also has no alarm.

Another reviewer mentioned there are no instructions, and setting the watch is too hard. That's rubbish, there are two dots concealed behind the rubber strap, to change the time you hold the top robber dot until the watch goes into set mode. There you can set whether you want 12/24 hr, date, time, etc. It's very easy to do, and I figured it out within 5 minutes of admiring the watch, and I had not even looked at the instructions yet (which ARE included). Watch has not scratched up like some other reviewers mentioned, but I bought a clear face protector/sticker just in case. Haven't needed to adjust the strap up to this point. Other than those issues, this watch is a very handsome one. Paid �49 elsewhere, no regrets so far (will update if need-be).
Update November 2010. I have returned the watch after not using it much. I used this watch only a few times, usually while out on... Read more
